Waivers
WAIVER & HOLD HARMLESS RELEASE
(required for class registration)
I/my student/participant understands and acknowledges that participating in a cooking class involves certain inherent risks, includ-ing but not limited to the use of sharp objects, hot surfaces and kitchen equipment. I/my student/participant voluntarily assumes all risks associated with participation in the cooking class.
SPECIFIC ALLERGIES AND SENSITIVITIES
I/my student/participant understands that each of our students have individual needs, especially those with specific allergies; in-cluding but not limited to, gluten, latex, dairy, soy, nuts, eggs etc.. Normal kitchen operations will involve shared cooking areas, preparation areas, equipment and utensils. The possibility exists for food items (handled and/or consumed) to come in contact with other food products, including others containing allergens.
OUR FACILITY IS NOT ALLERGEN FREE
OUR FACILITY CONTAINS ALLERGENS that may come into contact with food in our classes and events. Since allergens are present at our facility and cross-contact can easily occur, we cannot guarantee any item to to allergen free or the accuracy of the data as it relates to prepared recipe items.
Peppercorn Academy will make every effort to accommodate our students but we cannot be held liable for any contact or con-sumption of allergens that may occur in our facility. We suggest you contact Peppercorn Academy (peppercornacademy@gmail.com) about any allergies prior to booking to see if the class is a good fit for you, your child or other attendees.
MEDICAL TREATMENT
In the event of any injury or medical emergency that may occur during the cooking class:
1) Staff will call the emergency contact specified and the emergency contact will assume responsibility of student.
2) If the emergency contact does not respond, I authorize Peppercorn Academy Inc to seek medical treatment on my behalf and agree to be responsible for any and all costs associated with such medical treatment.
I/my child/student agrees and understands that participation is voluntary and I assume risks associated with the activity in which I/my child/student will be participating.
Peppercorn Academy Inc, it’s officers, directors, members and managers and all other members of its cooking school staff whether volunteer, contracted or employed, will bee held harmless and cannot be held liable from injury, incident or illness that may arise out of or connected to in any way with participation in all classroom activity.
By signing this waiver, I acknowledge that I have carefully read this Hold Harmless Agreement, Waiver and Release and fully under-stand it’s contents.
